Introducing Smart Training

The launch of new childcare and management qualifications this autumn signals a brand new approach for Smart Training, with the introduction of our completely flexible training programme.
New Online Training Academy
In response to feedback from learners and employers, we have introduced an Online Training Academy to give learners the opportunity to complete their qualifications online as well as through the traditional route of attending study days.
Learners have the option to complete their qualification entirely online; attend a combination of study days and online training sessions, or complete the course in the traditional way by attending monthly study days.
New initiatives
As well as on-line training, we have made some exciting other changes to our training, to offer you the best possible service.
- Learners aged 16-18 now have the option of Day Release training, which will give them the opportunity of achieving their Level 2 qualification within six months
- Learners over the age of 25 can take advantage of our 'Fast Track' training and gain their Level 2 qualification within eight months or their Level 3 qualification within 12 months
- We are offering the new Children and Young People's Workforce qualifications alongside the old NVQs in Childcare, Learning and Development, giving learners the choice of both courses until April 2011.
Free Training
Now for the best news of all – training with Smart Training need not cost you anything. Our training courses are free for those under the age of 25, as part of the Government's Apprenticeship Scheme. Those over the age of 25 just need to pay a small top up fee. See the Courses section for more information.
Lots of support
We offer our learners lots of support during their training with us – whether online or via study sessions - and reward them with store vouchers for good work.
