Fees are due from the first day of training. At the induction process, the amount of fees due to Smart Training will be stated, and payment terms agreed, including the breakdown of fees between the learner, employer and any external parties. The signing of the Individual Learning Plan will be taken as agreement to pay all fees due. Our fees are reviewed twice a year and any increases will be publicised on our website.
1. Liability for Payment
All fees due must be paid in full before completion of your award or qualification.
2. Methods of Payment
We accept the following payment methods using the website, by phone or in person:
3. Outstanding debt
Learners with an outstanding debt will not receive certification of an award, be considered for further qualifications or be given a reference from Smart Training. Once your fees become overdue, you will be sent statements and reminder letters, if you do not pay, we will commence legal proceedings to recover this debt.
4. Fee Refund Policy
All fees are non-refundable.
5. Changes in Circumstances
If you wish to have a break in your programme of study, you will need to inform your Training Manager and make arrangements to pay for any outstanding fees.
Where a learner is being funded by an employer and leaves that employment, it is considered the responsibility of the employer to recover any fees from the individual learner.
6. Bursaries
Bursary arrangements are between a learner/employer and a local authority. We will require proof at the start of training if any fees are to be deducted from the fees owed by the learner or employer. If the bursary is not paid, the learner/employer is ultimately responsible for paying any outstanding fees.
