Introducing Smart Training

Online Training Academy

In response to feedback from learners and employers, we now have an Online Training Academy to give learners the opportunity to complete their qualifications online as well as through the traditional route of attending study days or a combination of both.

Excellent service

We have also made some other exciting changes to offer you the best possible service:

Childcare apprentices aged between16 and18 have the option of Day Release training, giving them the opportunity of achieving their Level 2 qualification even quicker
All other learners can take advantage of our 'Fast Track' training and gain their Level 2 qualification within nine months or their Level 3 qualification within 12 months

Free Training

The best news of all is that childcare apprenticeship training with Smart Training may be available free of charge. Eligible learners need to be employed for more than 30 hours a week, have lived in the UK or European Union for the last three years and don't hold a UK recognised degree. Training is free for 16-18 year olds but, due to decreasing Government budgets, the Skills Funding Agency asks employers to pay half the cost of training for older learners . Smart Training can help towards these costs so the Employers' Contribution for those aged 19-24 is just £250 plus VAT and £500 plus VAT for over 25s.
