Fees and funding

Smart Training offers free or subsidised training courses for eligible learners who are employed for more than 30 hours a week, have lived in the UK or European Union for the last three years and don't hold a UK recognised degree.

Training is free of charge for eligible learners aged 16-24 for the Level 3 Management and Sales & Telesales courses as the Government funds the cost under its Apprenticeship Scheme. Due to decreasing Government budgets, however, the Skills Funding Agency asks employers to pay half the cost of training on all courses for learners aged 25 and over. Smart Training can help towards this cost so the Employers' Contribution is just £500 plus VAT.

Fees are non refundable if a learner leaves a course before completing it.

Those studying for a Certificate or Diploma under the Government Apprenticeship Scheme also work towards other qualifications including functional skills - practical skills in English, maths and ICT (information and communications technology) to provide them with the skills and abilities they need to be able to work confidently, effectively and independently.
